Today we leave the USA for our big adventure to Germany.

We celebrated this by way of an ‘American’ meal – pizza, fries and some soda in our hotel room by Baltimore Airport. We’ve been here two nights already as it was cheaper and easier for us to get flights out to Baltimore with Delta and stay a couple days here before the plane flies out.

Unfortunately, Nick and I have both fallen ill, Nick a little worse and he’s indeed suffering from a rather dreadful case of ‘man flu’.

We are counting down the hours until we get to walk on the plane and enjoy 8 hours of a cross-Atlantic flight, a nice reprieve for me but Nick may struggle not having all the space he’s been accustomed to. We will update ‘across the pond’!
